The '05 is quite similar to the past few vintages, a very dry, tannic wine that might improve with time in the cellar. It shows flavors of red currants, fresh herbs and cedar, with a significantly long finish. Try after 2010. || An interesting wine that aims high. It's good and elegant, but doesn't quite succeed in its aspirations or price. The cherry and vanilla oak flavors aren't rich enough to stand up to the hard, astringent tannins.
