The 40% new French oak shows in this wine's prominant buttered toast and honey notes. Underneath are rich pineapple, pear and tropical fruit flavors as ripe as anything out of California. Add crisp acidity, and you have a balanced but strong Chardonnay that wants to be paired with the rich lobster, scallop and shrimp dishes.
