Violet, spiced plum, truffle and new leather aromas lead the nose. The palate is firmly structured, offering up espresso, licorice and raspberry jam flavors, while close-grained tannins give an austere impression on finish. Cellar for another year or two, then drink to capture the remaining fruit.
