Aromas of forest floor, mature berry, dark culinary spice, wild mint and a whiff of violet come together on this impressive wine. The full-bodied palate displays layers of mature black cherry, raspberry jam, licorice and chopped herb framed in bracing tannins and fresh acidity. Even though it seems inviting, give it time to settle down and come together. Drink 2020–2030.
