With its gold color and waxy aromas of baked apple and butterscotch, this small-production (190 cases) Xarel-lo is a breed unto its own. The palate is creamy and leesy, but balanced for the most part. Lightly oxidized flavors of caramel, baked pear and apple cider finish mellow and buttery. Drink this odd but unique wine now.
