This bottling offers cassis, blackberry syrup, crushed slate and lots of purple flowers on the nose. It's a big and boisterous expression of the grape at first sip, which bursts with boysenberry, but then grows very mineral in the midpalate, with gravel and lava rock flavors. The tight tannic structure goes deep into the finish.
