Dried black cherries, a hint of purple flowers and a touch of tar show on the closed nose of this wine. The palate is also extremely wound up at this stage, with hints of espresso and dark chocolate. Although the structure is impressive, it does not allow much flavor to escape right now. || A very strong take on this increasingly reliable Rhône grape, this wine from New Orleans-raised vintner Iris Rideau shows dried blackberry, leather, chopped herbs and violets on the lovely nose. It's ripe yet tense on the palate…
