Wisps of smoke and char add nuance to tart red cherry and violet notes on this aromatic wine. It's juicy and fresh on the palate, yet amasses bitter, velvet tannins that blanket the finish. Enjoy now with a good decant, or better yet, hold back till at least 2016.
