This has all of the makings of a cult classic to come. It has pedigree—one of the founding winery partners is linked to the Quintarelli legacy—quality, elegance and a long aging future ahead. Dark, dense and thickly extracted, this is redolent of sweet tobacco, savory spice, cola, teriyaki sauce, black fruit and currant. The finish is long and streamlined, showing a touch of heat and muscle.
