A vivid peach color telegraphs that this is not your ordinary Pinot Gris. The wine smells like peach skin and prosciutto, and is light bodied but steeped in exotic flavors of dried flowers, apricot and sea salt. It has a firm mouthfeel, noticeable astringency and an almost meaty character. It's not for the faint of heart, but fascinating.
