A limited-production (150 cases), barrel-fermented and -aged Sauvignon Blanc, this is an intriguing and ambitious wine. The combination of honeyed nectarine, potent leafiness and pencilly oak comes together only to a certain extent—the elements also retain a certain disparate feel. The medium body and silky texture are nicely judged, and the long finish features lively grapefruit notes tinged with coffee.
