The hot vintage took its toll on this wine, which has raisiny flavors and a cooked fruit flavor. It's bone dry and tannic, although soft in acidity, but there are rich berry and coffee flavors on the finish. || Made from the oldest vines in the winery's vineyard, Terre Rouge's Sentinal Oaks Pyramid Block is usually their best Syrah, and so it is in the 2005 vintage.
