Intense smoke and dusty mineraity has become a calling card of sorts for Tierce, the annual collaborative bottling of three Finger Lakes Riesling producers. Deeply savory on the palate as well, pronounced notes of chalk and slate are broken by staccato strikes of sour green apple and lime. It's a distinct and increasingly consistent style now for Tierce that has served it well over the years.
