Super-spicy, offering a blast of white and black pepper, briary blackberry, black cherry sour candy, cola and coffee flavors wrapped into vigorous tannins. Retains the basically rustic nature of Barbera, but it's one of the better ones out there. Try as a smoother alternative to Zinfandel.
