Made with Sangiovese and 5% Merlot, this opens with aromas of dried plum, scorched earth, exotic spice and a whiff of cedar. On the palate, ground black pepper, clove, mocha and espresso accent a core of dried black cherry. Firm, fine-grained tannins provide the framework.
