A rooty style of warm-climate Pinot with sarsparilla, tomato leaf, beet and black cherry on what is a hot, slightly fiery nose. The palate is juicy, with cola, sweet cherry, herb and stemmy flavors, while the finish is snappy, with an aftertaste of caramel and berry liqueur. From vines planted in 1968.
