Rich blackberry and black-cherry flavors are a luxurious backdrop to the notes of savory Worcestershire sauce, sweet spice, and darkly toasted wood in this full bodied, yet elegantly structured Merlot. The tannins are ripe, but grippy, and they linger long on the violet-inflected finish. Drinks well now, but it would likely improve until 2015.
