Syrah is quickly gaining popularity in Hawke's Bay and this is a good example why. Reminiscent of a Crozes-Hermitage, this wine's meaty, peppery aromas and blackberry-boysenberry fruit aren't overpowering, just nicely balanced and very drinkable over the near term. || Full-bodied and soft in texture, this is a very accessible Chard, with peach and pineapple fruit framed by smoky, vanilla-scented oak.
