Olallieberry fruit, charred meats and a bit of oak smoke introduce the nose of this wine from a newly renamed vineyard in the middle of Santa Ynez Valley, where Paul Hobbs recently signed on as consultant. Flavors are led by tar and herbs, with ripe purple fruit and black pepper arising on the midpalate and finish.
