This seems a bit simple and confected for an Erstes Gewächs offering, with superripe, fruity aromas and flavors of apple, melon and lime. It's still a nice wine, medium-bodied and cleanly made, just lacking the minerality and complexity you'd hope for at this level. || This is a big, broad-shouldered Riesling, with plenty of body and a slightly oily mouthfeel.
