Surprisingly, this seems quite light at first, with strawberry and cranberry fruit flavors, and a fair amount of acidity. Give it a few hours of breathing time and it gains flesh. The wine spent 19 months in a combination of American and French oak (two-thirds new). || A whiff of volatility brightens up the aromas of this ripe Merlot.
