Interesting and distinctive, this draws upon old vines and a (relatively) high elevation site to extract unusual nuances. Tangy fruit flavors of wild berries are soaked with earth and mineral. Tannins are sharp and just slightly green, but the most interesting aspect is the spicy, resinous, pine needle bouquet that continues right on through the mid-palate.
