The vineyard lies in the Van Duzer corridor, and the regular winds thicken the grape skins, giving chewy, astringent tannins. Tart plum and wild-cherry fruit flavors carry a peppery bite. The wine was aged for nine months in a neutral barrel of Oregon oak.
