There are positives and negatives to this tinta de toro. The nose is outright stalky and roasted, with a shortage of purity. The palate is huge and grossly tannic, a monster if you will. Flavors of sweet black fruits are stalky in nature, while prune, blackberry and herbal flavors drive the finish.
