Round Pond's track record with Sauvignon Blanc is pretty consistent. The wine is rarely great—almost never bad–but frequently satisfactory. The 2012 is one of their better efforts—a little ripe in profile—but clean and savory. || Very, very tannic. Sometimes these super-astringent young Napa Cabs age well, but in this case you have to wonder if the fruit will outlast the tannins.
