This is a well-balanced wine. Peppery and earthy aromas lead to cherry and raspberry flavors, a smooth texture and medium body. Owner Sam Sebastiani uses 65% Zinfandel, 30% Primitivo (legally the same as Zinfandel) and 5% Barbera.
