A surprisingly good show for a soggy vintage, this is ripe, bordering on stewy, with rich notes of prune, blueberry, mushroom and forest floor. The tannins are hard but there's plenty of toast and spice on the finish of this 60-20-15-5 percent Sangiovese-Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot-Syrah blend.
