This has a deep, dark red color that's practically opaque in the glass. The main aroma resembles oak and cedar dust, with ripe blueberries behind it. Flavors then turn very chocolaty and deep, while the texture is quite sleek for something this concentrated. Aged in 100% French oak, it is full-bodied, appropriately tannic, and built to go with some spectacular meaty meal. Best now through 2022.
