Crushed lilacs, raw beef, dried tobacco and leather combine with very earthy and rocky aromas of potting soil on the deeply layered nose of this bottling from a vineyard on the eastside of the Salinas Valley. The palate combines rusty earth, dried sagebrush and dill with blackberry jam and blueberry jelly, with a serious savory boost into the finish.
