Surprisingly dark for Tempranillo, this ripe and fruity wine has hints of barn and straw in the nose. The concentrated cherry/berry fruit flavors roll into drying tannins, with some seed tannin bitterness. || Whole berry fermentation and aging in neutral oak yield an aromatic, high-toned, fruity wine with a woody character—not new oak, but rather the flavor of neutral wood and gentle oxidation.
