Crusty but also perfumed on the bouquet, and then quite snappy and a little edgy in the mouth. Red fruit is the dominant flavor component, and there are accents of coconut, olive and toast. It's pretty straightforward as Chilean Cab goes, but it's composed and flavorful. In a nutshell, wines like this are what people expect from the Maipo.
