This is a fascinating wine in that it delivers all of the components of a cool-climate Syrah from what is considered a warm-weather region. Black pepper, tar, charred game, cola and lavender show on the nose, while the palate offers roasted lamb, more pepper and crushed asphalt. It's relatively light in body as well.
