Youthful and tangy, this new Le Chateau release of pure Petit Verdot reflects a positive change in the winemaking. The spiced-plum, blueberry and cherry flavors are pure and mouthcoating, and the barrel aging (22 months in 30% new French oak) wraps the fruit in vanilla, coffee, and dusty graphite, leading onto the long and satisfying finish. || An interesting Chardonnay that does not quite all come together.
