A solid producer of Naoussa, Karydas has crafted a good Xinomavro with this vintage. Aromas come on strong with lush purple fruit, violets, pepper and menthol, then pick up lemon, charred burger and distinctive earthy elements. Flavors of pomegranate, menthol and plum all have a meaty feel, while hard tannins are matched by firm acidity.
