Riboli-owned Opaque has been exploring the Petit Verdot waters for several years, with mixed results. This bottling is a little rustic, with awkward tannins, but it has plenty of ripe, fresh blackberry and cherry fruit, with a charred meat note that suggests pairing with grilled beef.
