Whistler Vineyard is an extreme site on the coast above Annapolis, and a source of Pinot Noir for other producers. Here, it is working with a suitcase clone from Condrieu, fermenting the grapes in entirely new French oak. Honey, clove and apricot jump from the glass, with a blithe spirit of minerality and light body that provides plenty of refreshment. Made in tiny amounts.
