Pinots from this vineyard, which is between the Anderson and Alexander valleys, always seem earthy and tannic in youth, and so it is with this bottling. With oak-inspired cherry, cola, tobacco and spice flavors, it could develop bottle complexity in 4–6 years. || There's a Porty overripeness all through this wine, like concentrated raisins and prunes.
