Winemaker Tom Mortimer also produces the outstanding Aubichon wines; this is his own label, and it offers exceptional value. It's stylish, modern and elegant, with precisely-defined raspberry fruit accented with sweet ripe tomato. The wine has a crisp sculpted mouthfeel, and just the slightest suggestion of barrel toast framing the finish.
