Finished in French oak, the Magnifique bottling from Walter Dacon seems a bit plain, almost generic in this vintage. Red fruit, noticeably high alcohol (14.8%) that you can taste, and tongue-scraping astringency suggest that this may need significantly more bottle age to pull itself together. || This is Walter Dacon's best effort, a barrel selection from the French oak-aged side lots.
