You can always count on Frog's Leap to produce a dependable Merlot. This 2010 isn't their best, but it is a great wine for drinking now. The palate is complex with flavors of black cherry, cola, herb tea and oak all wrapped up with strong tannins. It's not an ager, so drink up. || Hugely extracted in cherry pie flavors, this Merlot makes up for the absence of subtlety with its sheer deliciousness. The tannins are soft, making it ideal for drinking now with steak.
