This blend of Cabernet Franc and the light, fruit and acidic Austrian variety Lemberger is on the whole successful, displaying a unique, masculine nose of deep cherry and leathery spice. On the palate, elegant flavors of cherry, raspberry and spice are balanced and friendly. This is a wine that can pair with heartier dishes: think duck or lamb stew.
