Rustic, as Carmenère should be, this single-valley offering is a good drink-with-barbecue bet. Bark, dark berries and chocolatey aromas show on the nose; earth and black fruit dominate the full, low-acid palate. Woodsy, briary notes and ample spice give oomph to the juicy berry finish.
