One of several Pioneer Block Sauvignons now coming out of St. Clair, the 2008 Snap Block leans toward the pungent side of Sauvignon Blanc, with aromas of crushed tomato leaf leading the way. The flavors are decidedly herbal, but, backed by a solid underpinning of citrus fruits, the results are zesty and refreshing.
