Earth, olive, blackberry and licorice are the key aromas on this Merlot-led blend that includes Cab Sauvignon, Syrah and Carmenère. The palate is a bit heavy and heady, and the tannins bite. But the roasted blackberry and herbal flavors work well, and you can't complain about the wine's density.
