Aromas of stewed black fruit, oak, coffee and espresso carry over to the palate along with sour cherry layered with hints of bitter chocolate. It has firm but not very persistent tannins and closes on an astringent, drying note. || This wine really grows on you. It starts off with slightly acrid, coarse elements of briar patch and weeds, but it explodes on the palate, turning rich, chocolaty and refined.
