Densely tannic and deep in flavor, this full-bodied wine should continue to develop nicely because two days after opening, it was still terrific. It leads with anise and charcoal aromas, settling on dark chocolate-covered cherry flavors, while its firm, dry mouthfeel holds it all together. Best after 2022.
