Altero opens with a dark garnet color and tight fruit aromas of white cherry, pomegranate, cassis and dried raspberry. Supple tones of smoke, leather and tobacco fill out the rear but only play a supporting role. In the mouth, the wine is tight, streamlined and sharp.
