The Barrel Selection certainly has no qualms about hiding its true colors. The nose offers ripe stone fruit supported by hints of butter and cream, while the mouth presents a prickly acidity and clean citrus flavors that prevent the wine from landing with a thud. A solid selection that will pair well with most poultry dishes.
