A blend of Sangiovese and 20% Ciliegiolo, this opens with aromas that recall fragrant purple flower, new leather, aromatic herb and red berry. The ripe palate doles out juicy Marasca cherry, chopped mint and a hint of star anise alongside fine-grained tannins that leave a firm, polished finish. Drink through 2019.
