This Aglianico offers a mélange of aromas, including vanilla, toast, ripe plum, prune, tobacco and a whiff of leather. The palate opens with juicy black fruit accented by notes of vanilla, mint, tobacco and espresso, but excruciatingly aggressive tannins dominate the finish and give it an abrupt, drying finish. Give this time to unwind.
